In 2016, I had the pleasure of interviewing people on the front lines of the fight against HIV and AIDS. In the span of 18 hours, I performed and filmed the interviews, edited them into this brief video and published it on behalf of the MAC AIDS FUND.

My biggest fear leaving SMPA with my degree was that their theoretical approach to media would leave me without any leverage in an increasingly skills-focused workforce.

Last week, I slapped together a small reel for our sponsors.  My manager was shocked that I knew my way around Premiere and asked me to make a sizzle reel for our upcoming New York Ideas Festival.  This is that video.

My final project for Digital Media Production.

I’ve been working on this project on and off since the beginning of the semester and love the combination of rookie mistakes and attempts at ambitious editing techniques.  This is a visual representation of me learning how to produce media.

I came back to school to learn how to shoot and edit video.  The theory and academia of graduate school is great, but nothing beats tangible skills.

This is the first video I ever shot and produced.  I was a one man production team, setting up long shots from a tripod and praying no one would steal my equipment while I ran in and out of the frame.
